A Truck with E Track

I want an off-road truck with an e track so that it can hold my bike down in place, and make sure it’s safe while travelling from one place to another. My friend has one, and he usually brings his bike along with him, every time he travels from one island to another for his summer adventures. I wonder when I’ll have that dream truck of mine, with my dream bike and off-road motorcycle.

If i’m really lucky this year, I’ll try my luck and see what it will get me, and where it would take me. Who knows? I might just get lucky again and get that dream truck, etc. I just got lucky getting a Jabra bluetooth headset, half the price last week. I wonder what’s more to come. Hopefully, next in line is a truck with e track. Is that too much to ask for?

Actually, I don’t believe in luck, rather, I believe in blessings and answered prayers. Whoever is prayer hard for me aside from myself, I thank that person a lot.

New metal building arise

Another big hardware branch will soon rise in the nearby city. I’ve noticed a huge metal building being constructed, and by the looks of it, the construction will be finished in just a few weeks.
Unlike their other branches where they built typical buildings that took a long time to finish, they now use metal buildings for their new hardware branches, and construct them in no time. Soon, I can go there to buy all the hardware needs.

I’ve heard they’re also selling other home stuff, aside from basic hardware equipment and tools. This only means that other people around here won’t have to travel to the other cities to buy them, since they’re now accessible to us.

Dad’s Life Story

I always remember the story about my dad’s life when he was young. Although I am not emotionally attached to him, I still admire the way he coped with life even when he was very poor and had nothing. Seeing his name engraved in custom name plaques for all his recognitions and awards make me proud of him as a person. During his elementary days, shoes were not readily available in their rural area. He wore rubber slippers to school. But during rainy days the road becomes sticky with clay, and it clings thick under his slippers. Most of the times his slippers broke, and had to walk barefoot to school. My grandparents cannot afford to buy slippers all the time, so he had to repair it and use it until the soles are totally abraded. There were days that dad went to school without breakfast and lunch. My grandparents were very poor that they always borrow rice from their neighbors. And when not fortunate to borrow enough rice, they just cook it to porridge in order for the family of six to subsist. But in spite of these hardships, his studies were marked with flying colors. He was consistent First Honors all years and graduated Valedictorian in class during elementary graduation. During his high school days, dad had to walk four kilometers from their place to school daily. When the weather was not good, and the rain poured heavily, he had to take cover under big trees. But usually arrived at school wet. Dad even had more extra curricular activities during his high school days; and responsibilities too. What with being class president, he was the editor-in-chief of their school organ, and the president of the student government. I feel proud of his achievements during his school days. Winning the First Prize of the Talent Unlimited Contest for four consecutive years was really a feat. And to think that a very poor islander like him defeated the representatives of all high schools in the province, region and the country. But it did not end there, he was a working and academic scholar during college. He also managed to graduate with honors in college and passed tge board exam with high ratings, despite working and schooling at the same time.

Tropical Paradise

The heat of summer can now be felt in the tropical paradise. Everyone is excited to go on a vacation before and after the lenten season. A lot of people flock to the beach to swim and relax.
We are truly blessed to experience the warm weather because some places in the world remains cold all throughout the year. While we wear nice comfy summer clothes, boardshorts and tank tops, and enjoy the natural heat of the sun, they keep themselves comfortable and warm using heated clothing. We should be thankful that we live in the tropics and feel the sun all year round. Some people haven’t even experienced swimming at the beach, while we have access to it twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
I thank God for blessing me with the tropical paradise and the nice weather.

I won’t deny that I love to eat meat, but I love eating fruits and vegetables more. A vegetarian diet is best for us, most especially for those healthconscious people because it cures and prevents a lot of diseases. A vegetarian diet is best for us because it detoxifies and cleanses our body of the highly acidic system brought on by our flesh meat eating. A vegetarian diet is best for us because it eliminates a lot of body pains and minimizes a lot of sufferings and afflictions that are common in sick people.

Fruits and vegetables are good not only for health reasons, but for economic reasons as well. A vegetarian diet is simpler, cheaper and easier to prepare. There is no need to cook the vegetables – you can wash them clean and eat them raw, and get more health benefits from the live enzymes and phytonutrients in them to ward off cancers and other diseases. You can save money on fuel and ingredients. And you can save time too.

I am glad more people are now aware of the health benefits of a vegetarian diet. More health conscious people are becoming vegetarians. I feel happy seeing people living a long, happy, healthy life. It is nice to know that our relatives, friends, and neighbors are healthy and free from any communicable diseases.
