It pays to be practical

Some people call me stingy, but I don’t really mind. I always take it as a compliment. But for me, I think the right term to use is being practical. I mean if you have a choice that can save you a lot of money, why not? Let’s for example, you are going for a vacation in Florida, or probably attend a long due reunion with your family or friends there, or simply have some time off. Why spend too much money on luxurious and expensive hotels, when you can find an affordable place to stay at or who knows even for free.
If you can find affordable orlando condos that you can rent out for a week or so, where you can stay at during your visit to your family and friends, or maybe if your friends can spare a room or bed for you, then much better. That would mean a lot of savings for you then you will still have enough for shopping money, and to dine in fine restaurants in Florida.

The Unexpected

From Christmas til New year, there were many road accidents that has been reported. I wonder how the family of the victims coped with such a tragic incidents. Some lost their dad and some lost their moms and parents. Some drivers who were working on a holiday never expected that something bad will happen to them on the road causing them their lives. I wonder if some of them even have life insurance policy at all, because most of them were just plain people who wanted to go and take a vacation either to the city or go to their provinces.

There were also three reported ships that sank and only a few were lucky to make it back to the shore and their families alive. Some were rescued and some were lost and cannot be found until now. It really pays to be careful, most especially during rush days, or better yet, just stay safe and avoid any accidents or any unpleasant unexpected events.

I welcomed the new year feeling feverish. It’s been a few days since I started having fever and flu. Someone has been telling me to go and have myself checked, but I was too lazy coz my new place is way from from the city, besides it was a holiday. But yesterday, after waking up from my nap,I washed my face with the cold water running on a Delta faucet to ease the uncomfortable feeling. I wasn’t feeling that good but I managed to go to the nearby drugstore and I asked where the nearest district hospital is located. I got in one of the doctor’s clinic just in time because there were a lot of people who were already in line waiting for their turn, and the doctor wasn’t accepting more. I was getting a little late but I waited for my turn and finally got checked by the doctor.
As usual is something to do with allergies and my throat. The doctor prescribed me with some medicines, and I bought a few meds for the meantime to last for three days coz I decided to juts go to the city after a couple of days. Today, I woke up feeling uncomfortable but my fever is gone. So, at least there’s a good development. I hope when I wake up tomorrow, I’d be feeling muych better.

Urban Zone Living

The urban zone is continuously evolving, and many high rise buildings and apartments are being constructed to cater the growing number of population. With the limited spaces in an urban home or apartment people have to be wise in doing interior design. Space saving techniques are much required most especially for those who are just renting rooms, one needs to be wise when it comes to saving space and making us o every single square meter.

Say goodbye to bulky television sets. They are now a thing the past, and so are bulky stands and cabinets. Urban living and design now promotes space saving lcd tv screens on plasma mounts either attached to the walls or ceilings. Corner spaces are also used for books shelves, or even cabinets with mirror cover to save space. The space under the bed is also being utilized as cabinets for clothes, shoes or even as bookshelves. This only goes to show how flexible people can be, no matter how small their place is.

Reaching One's Dreams

I have long given up on ever thinking of going back to school again for so many reasons. First, I hate having to go to school, traveling, and having to follow a certain schedule. Before I thought of pursuing my continuing post-grad studies, but the University I applied for a scholarship only offers the course in one of their campuses which is really far from my location.

I’ve heard that one of my friends was able to complete his course through distant learning. I want to try it out too, and perhaps I could get an online degree for less, minus all the expenses of both travel and accommodation. I’ve heard that one of the best online universities also provide scholarships, for deserving individuals.

Now everyone gets the chance to reach their dreams to finish academics. From health related to business, teaching, information technology, etc. One can earn a degree and get a bigger chance to get employed in the future.

Melisa of PBB Double UP

Melisa, Melai or Isay of PBB Double Up is one person that makes me want to watch the show. I think without her, the house will be really dull. Although a lot of people say that she’s not pretty, I say — Isay is definitely beautiful both physically and in character.
People often criticize her coz of her teeth. Isay two front teeth has a space in between them and she also like making funny faces making her look weird. I guess she’s just trying to be funny and it’s undeniably working, because television viewers love her to bits. I bet if Isay will take good care of her physical looks and with the help of other enhancements especially if someone who is an expert in implant dentist Plano or other dental concerns, she can get better looking teeth. I’m sure she’d look so much better than she already does. She has a nice light brown skin too, and if her nose gets a little enhanced, I’m sure nobody would call her ugly again.

The Zen Garden

Last night, I went to the mall to buy a couple of flashlights and extra batteries. I would be needing them just in case there will be more brownouts. I hate having to use candles or whatever, coz it’s not safe and it usually causes fire.
On my way home, I passed by the mall’s zen garden instead of the other way going to the terminal coz the takoyaki stand was transferred on that side. After buying my fave food, I sad by the bench in the garden to eat. There are different lights in the man made falls, I hate bright lights so I went to the other side where the pond was.
I just sat there and watched the Koi fishes swimming along with the tiny turtles as the pond pumps and the aerator creates bubbles. It was a beautiful sight, rather relaxing… I guess Zen gardens really help take stress away. I felt much better and I hardly noticed that I was there for about 30 minutes. I will definitely go there again…

Life's Struggles

As I was reading through some blogs, I found one written by a guy names Bill. He writes about his kids and his daily life as a work at home dad. He has four kids and his wife just passed away a couple of months after giving birth to their youngest son. It’s really sad, but he is trying to cope with life for his kids.

Aside from the whole situation that he is in now, he is also struggling to fight stress and overeating. Ever since he started working at home and became a housedad, he gained a lot of weight and got addicted to cooking. He spends almost all his time thinking about cooking and food.

Bill has chosen to stay at home to look after his young kids whose ages ranges from 2 months old to 6 years old. His mom is helping him out but still taking care of 4 kids and not being used to it could be really stressful. He is trying all kinds of appetite suppressant to keep him from eating too much. But I think all he need is to away from the kitchen. What do you think?

I like the idea of getting freebies for every purchase I make at the nearby mall. They have this promo, for every three hundred bucks amount of purchase, you get a chance to spin and get items for free. I got a free can opener and with the other purchase I got a free umbrella. I don’t really mind the name written on it, since that’s part of the deal.

I remember before, when I was still selling concert tickets. For every ticket you buy, you get either a shirt, sling bags, or caps. I was so damn lucky coz I purchase a lot of tickets prior to the event, then sell them to friends. They’re the type who not into getting get promotional items and just want to watch the concert. At least I got some freebies that I could use. I’ve always been fond of collectible freebies, especially if I like the events, like the silver keychain I got from MTV.
