Rather than waiting for an opportunity on your field of expertise, sometimes you need to switch your gears, take turns or try other ideas to meet the current demands of life. That’s why I no longer wonder why doctors study to become nurses rather than nurses studying to become doctors. Some of them take medical coding training courses because many employment companies are hiring people with the said skill, and they are quite in demand in different parts of the world.
To some, it is merely a stepping stone to achieve their higher purpose in life. The first step is to land on a job and get a visa, next is to settle in that place, then when things work the way you want them to, you can start looking for jobs that requires your expertise. It’s all a matter of playing your cards right, and being flexible to keep up with life’s twists and turns.
College Grad Job Search is on again after many students have graduated this October. This is also the time when students enter the real world and realize what kind of jobs are on demand and what are not. Some easily get disappointed when they don’t find a job that requires the education that they finished in college, or the industry where they plan to be a part of do not really need their service at the moment, but for those who are determined to find a job, they do not really choose jobs or position, they just go for what is available so they can help their families, and send their siblings to school.
Sometimes, even if we want something so bad, we can’t just have it. Like say for example you dreamt of becoming a manager when you finish school, you won’t reach that dream so easily, of course you have to work hard to reach that goal. You have to prove yourself worthy of that position and often it takes years, unless otherwise you build your own company where you can be the CEO. But if you’re just a regular guy loking for a regular job, you have to learn to start from scratch. Go get a job and work hard on it!
Some people get too caught up with their problems and the difficult situations that they are in right now, that they don’t even get a chance to think about the future. More than ninety-five percent of the whole population live each day according to their budget and even get short in cash before payday comes. The remaining five percent is shared by those who are living their lives with a more than average wage and whose budget is enough to get them going without getting short in cash. About three percent of them have extra money for luxury, and less than one percent of them can live without having to work all their lives and still have a good future.
Not a lot of people get to have term life insurance or any security funds that they could use once they retire, except for those who are employed and whose insurance are covered by the company each month. Some try to save their money in the bank but are able to use their money for emergencies even before they reach old age. Some invest in properties, but majority can only hope for luck to be in their side and catch good fortune.
Do you think about the future? or do you simply live your life one day at a time?
Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez wedding is said to be the wedding of the year in the world of Politics, News and Entertainment Media. Oh well, I guess so too. The whole wedding was pretty elegant and yet very Filipino at the same time. Thousand of people came to witness the said event, but I was only able to watch it through the huge screen.
While watching Mar and Korina’s wedding, I’ve noticed the big difference in the bride’s figure. They said she had this month-long special diet to achieve that weight loss and figure. I guess she really worked hard on it. Some say, she even had personal trainer to make sure she doesn’t miss out on her work-out despite the busy schedule. I’m happy for them, after so many years of being together, they finally tied the knot. A lot are trying to put malice on the said matrimony, due to Mar’s plans to run for Vice President, but really, I think it’s about time they get married. I even doubt it that will still have kids, but at least Mar already have a son out of marriage. Instant kid, instant family for Korina.
It’s really good to have a good relationship with your neighbors because you can talk to them about anything, and sometimes they even offer to help you with things without asking for any favor in return. Just like Kuya Kim, he was thinking of changing the interior design of his house. He already repainted the walls but tehre seems to be something missing. He asked his landlady and neighbor what he should do to give their house a new look. Tita Fanny said, try to put some area rugs to give the house a little accent because it looks pretty plain, besides it will also be a lot comfier for the kids to play and settle in. Manong Roger said he knows a place where Kuya Kim can find cheap yet good quality rugs.
He was having second thoughts through because his wife May just gave birth a few months ago and she would not be able to do the cleaning too often, and he’s wondering it it will be a good thing to do, because it might just attract dust and dirts inside the house. Manong Roger said he doesn’t have to worry too much with the cleaning part because doesn’t really cost much to have the rugs cleaned by their other neighbor once in awhile. Good thing he asked, at least now he knows what to do next, neighbors are truly of big help, even when it comes to little things. Tita Fanny even offered to give him some indoor plants to add a more refreshing ambiance to Kuya Kim’s place.
Pinoy Big Brother Double-Up housemate named Delio can’t help but get into my nerves. Being an uneducated person that he is, it only shows how stupid his ideas are and how he is too proud of himself trying to act as “Mr. Know-It-All” when in fact he knows nothing at all. He even mimic Manny Pacquiao for Juan dela Cruz’s sake! He does not even look a bit like the world boxing champ. I wonder if Manny would do me a favor by throwing even just a single punch right into the bastard’s face.
It makes me wonder how he got into the reality show, oh well, perhaps they needed more stupid people inside whom they can manipulate easily. He does not only bash other housemates, but he is also arrogant and sexist. He only want to do what pleases him and do not care about the much better ideas — which he’d rather oppose. And even if he knows he is wrong, he’d rather stick to his thing simply because he want to defy the idea that in fact there are women who are much better than he is. He sees women as inferior individuals who better live by his rules. As Filipinos we are the kind who respect people no matter what their sexual orientation is — and Delio does not have this character. Not only that — he feels he is more intelligent than anyone else around him.
Stupid people like Delio are not worth voting for. If he stays in-house, I really think the whole Pinoy Big Brother Double-Up (PBB) staff is manipulating the entire thing. Oh well, when was it that they never did anyway? The whole thing is nothing but crap. Bashing Delio? Yeah! He deserves it! I wonder how his fellow Batangueños feel about having the likes of Delio as their representative.
