Hugs for Health

Before I start this, let me shower you all with Hugs Hugs Hugs HUGs :)

HUGS

HUGS

A hug is the most comforting gesture one can do for another person, most especially if one is feeling so down. For some reason, there seems to be some kind of power to lift up one’s spirit and self-esteem just with a simple hug. Ongoing research studies indicates that people who are being shown affection are less likely to get sick, feel sick, or see a doctor in their entire lifetime. People who are shown affection have more zest for life, love for work, less likely to get burned out, and feel that their existence is more meaningful. It also shows that kids who do not experience affection from home are less likely to have friends and get into successful relationships in the future. Teens who don’t have friends and people to show them affection are likely to get fat and develop acne, because they  are likely to divert their attention to unhealthy habits like binge eating of mostly junk food, becoming some sort of couch potato, take care of themselves less, have a very low self-esteem, problems in dealing with other teens and adults, and are more prone to suicide.

How often do you hug anyone? Your family, neighbor, friend, or a stranger might need one right now. Don’t underestimate the power of hugs. Don’t hesitate to give hugs, they’re free and yet priceless! You’ll never know you may be saving one’s life today just by a simple gesture of a pat on the back or a hug.

Give hugs for Good Health, get hugs back and be healthy, just don’t fake it! Sincerity is a virtue!
