Karl’s generosity
Karl gave me his phone because he just bought a new one. He actually told me even before he came, that when he gets home he would be giving away the one he was using. I thought he would give it to Adi though, but since Adi got my GOW PSP, I get the phone. I guess I already mentioned here that Kuya Karl works as a seaman. He just usually buy phone cards to get to call us and his wife and daughter. He said that it saves him a lot rather than use the communication system they have in their fleet. The last time he was in the US, before he went to his final destination, he called me up to ask what I wanted him to buy for me. He’s really generous. He wouldn’t mind staying on the line for awhile to talk to everyone in the family to make sure that we all get what we ask for, as long as he could afford it. We even tell him to pamper himself too, rather than just pleasing everyone, but as always, Karl just give us that smile and says, “I’m contented when I see you guys happy.” Kuya is the sweetest, isn’t he? He even got me an autographed original Ronaldinho jersey. He’s always been like that since we were kids, he’s never changed. He’s still the same old generous Karl.
